Share Your View: Town of Hinton 2020 Budget

The Town of Hinton invites you to use this budget simulator below to help you better understand how your property tax dollars are spent, and to provide input on various programs and service levels.

Like any household or business, the needs and wants within the municipality are often greater than what can be afforded. As such, each year, as a part of the budget process, choices must be made that directly impact the taxes you pay and the level of services the Town can provide. Our budget takes into consideration competing priorities and challenges, while at the same time, strives to provide high-quality services for all citizens.

We want to ensure that every citizen has input into how his or her tax dollars are spent. The results of this exercise will be shared with Town Council so that your priorities are better understood and reflected in the 2019 budget.

The Town of Hinton thanks you for taking the time to complete this survey. If you have any questions or additional feedback, please contact Carla at (780) 865-6078.

Thank you for your participation!

Community Grant Program

The Community Grant Program provides funding to local non-profit groups to support projects, events, and initial operating costs. This program is funded through the Automated Traffic Enforcement Program. There has been a notable decrease in revenue from the Automated Traffic Enforcement Program, and therefore a decrease in funds available for the Community Grant Program.

With a decrease in Automated Traffic Enforcement funding, how would you like to see future community funding requests supported by the Town of Hinton?
